Cookie policy.

The short version

This site sets no cookies for visitors: no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. That's why there's no cookie banner. The only thing it can save in your browser is your choice if you turn visit counting off below.

Cookies used only by me

The site has a private admin area that only I sign in to. When I sign in, the site sets two cookies on my own browser so I stay signed in:

• pf_at keeps me signed in while I edit the site. It lasts 15 minutes.
• pf_rt gives me a new pf_at without signing in again. It's only sent to the site's sign-in address and lasts 30 days, or until I sign out.

Visitors never receive these cookies. Both are strictly necessary for the admin area to work.

Fonts and other files

All the site's fonts, images and scripts are served from toukirahmedrony.com itself. Nothing loads from Google Fonts, social networks or any other outside service while you browse.

How visits are counted

I count page views to see which pages people find useful. This works without cookies:

• When a page opens, a small script on this site tells my server which page you opened and which website sent you here.
• My server stores a short, scrambled record of the visit. No IP address is stored with it. The privacy policy explains exactly what's kept and for how long (400 days).
• Nothing is sent to Google, Meta or any other analytics or advertising company.

The law allows this kind of counting without asking for consent first, as long as it's only used for statistics to improve the site and you can easily object.

Stop counting my visits

If you turn counting off, this browser's visits are no longer counted. The site remembers your choice by saving one setting in your browser (pf_no_count). It holds nothing about you and isn't sent anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Your visits are also not counted if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal.

Links to other sites

If you follow a link to LinkedIn, GitHub, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp or a client's website, that site may set its own cookies. Its own cookie policy applies.
