Current state

The venture is in development with an MVP centred on local job posting, nearby worker discovery, in-app negotiation, verification and community-aware filtering.

Overview

Quick Job is a marketplace concept for South Asian diaspora communities where informal work already moves through WhatsApp groups and personal referrals. The product formalises that behaviour with structured listings, availability, messaging, verification and reviews.

Problem

Informal referrals can be fast but provide little visibility, consistency or accountability. Workers can miss paid opportunities because they are outside the right group, while households have limited information about price, availability and previous performance.

My contribution

• Founded the product and own product strategy, technical architecture and hands-on development.
• Design the job, user, location, offer, chat and review workflows.
• Build the Next.js web experience, NestJS API and React Native mobile apps.
• Own geolocation, real-time availability, verification and marketplace trust features.

Technical approach

The architecture is being designed around location-aware discovery and a clear job lifecycle from posting to offer, agreement and completion. Next.js/React Native provide user interfaces, NestJS handles service logic, maps/location services support proximity and Firebase supports real-time capabilities where appropriate.

Result
