Current state

Product architecture and MVP scope are defined and active development is focused on digitising right-to-work verification, employee records and compliance reminders for UK SMEs.

Overview

SetsCheck packages recurring compliance and staff-record problems into a focused web SaaS. It is designed for smaller UK organisations that need structured employee documentation and reminders without adopting a large enterprise HR suite.

Problem

Right-to-work documents, expiry dates, contracts and onboarding records are often spread across shared drives, email and spreadsheets. That creates avoidable compliance risk and manual follow-up for teams without dedicated HR operations.

My contribution

• Lead product definition, technical architecture and hands-on development.
• Design employee, document, verification and expiry/reminder data structures.
• Build the Next.js/Laravel web SaaS and role-based company workflows.
• Own the roadmap for document generation/reporting, onboarding and broader HR features.

Technical approach

The product is being built as a multi-company web SaaS with Next.js on the product interface, Laravel/MySQL for core business workflows and AWS for deployment infrastructure. The MVP prioritises auditable records, expiry-driven actions and clear role-based access.
