Laravel events website for Off The Boat, a London live events and artist management agency: upcoming events, show gallery, blog and artist services.

Overview

Off The Boat Ltd produces large-scale concerts, festivals, shows and cultural experiences across the UK, and manages the careers of the artists it works with. offtheboat.live is the agency's events-facing website: it presents the two core services, artist management and event management, and gives audiences one place to find upcoming events, past shows and news.

Problem

The agency's events work needed its own home. Promoters, artists and audiences had no single place to see what Off The Boat produces, what's coming up and what past shows looked like, and the team needed to update events, photos and articles themselves as the calendar changed.

My contribution

• Owned full-stack development of the Laravel/MySQL site, from build to production launch.
• Built the admin panel for events, services, hero images, gallery, testimonials and blog posts.
• Developed the service pages for artist management and event management.
• Implemented the responsive, brand-led front end with light and dark themes.

Technical approach

Every public section draws from content the team manages in the admin panel, so the homepage hero, upcoming events, gallery and blog stay current without code changes. The design puts live-event photography first, with a clear call to explore events and contact the team.
