Get A Lawyer is my on-demand legal consultation product. A client opens the app, sees who's online, picks a lawyer who speaks their language, and jumps into a paid video call — no receptionist, no three-week wait for an appointment slot.
I'm building the full stack myself: Next.js public landing, NestJS API, real-time video, payments, and React Native apps for iOS and Android. This sits in the same world as my UK legal client work — but it's my product, designed around how people actually panic-search for a solicitor at 9pm.
Getting legal advice is still stuck in appointment culture. People with immigration, housing, or small-business questions bounce between Google, WhatsApp groups, and cold-calling firms — while good lawyers sit offline between clients.
Language is another wall. South Asian and multilingual communities often need advice in Bangla, Urdu, Hindi, or Arabic, not just English. Existing directories directories don't match on language, availability, or price in one flow.
