Moved key front-desk and patient enquiry workflows online with a mobile-friendly PHP/MySQL hospital system.

Overview

Lab One Hospital needed an accessible way for patients to find departments, view doctor information and request appointments without relying entirely on reception staff. The system combines operational booking functions with managed healthcare information.

Problem

Manual appointment handling increased front-desk workload and made it harder for patients to access up-to-date service information outside reception hours.

My contribution

• Owned the full-stack development of the PHP/MySQL application.
• Built the online appointment request/booking module.
• Developed doctor and department records plus supporting service content.
• Implemented enquiry routing and backend-managed FAQ/service information.

Technical approach

Designed the system around a simple patient journey: identify the relevant department/doctor, submit an appointment request and access supporting service information. Backend management keeps doctor, department, service and FAQ content maintainable.
