Courier Management System - Taratari Express

Outcome

Digitised the end-to-end courier lifecycle for a logistics business with dedicated admin, rider and customer workflows.

Overview

Taratari Express required a real operational system rather than a marketing website. The platform manages parcel bookings and delivery progress across multiple user roles and branches, and was the largest, most complex system in this group of earlier Software Mela projects.

Problem

Courier operations relied on manual coordination between customers, administrators, riders and branches. The business needed a single source of truth for bookings, delivery status, assignments and history.

My contribution

• Owned the core full-stack implementation and three-role application architecture.
• Designed role-based access for administrators, riders and customers.
• Built booking lifecycle, parcel tracking, rider assignment and multi-branch workflows.
• Developed dashboards and reporting views for operational visibility.

Technical approach

Structured the application around role permissions and a parcel/order lifecycle. Laravel/PHP/MySQL maintain the shared operational data, while each user type receives a focused dashboard and only the actions relevant to its responsibilities.
