Built a production consultancy platform with university/course data, multi-step applications, document handling and shared application-status visibility.

Overview

Mountenna Edu supports international applicants exploring UK higher education. The platform replaces fragmented email-based onboarding with a central system covering course discovery, student applications, document review and progress tracking.

Problem

Applicants needed clearer university information and structured guidance, while counsellors needed a reliable way to collect documents, verify information and see application progress without searching through long email threads.

My contribution

• Defined the core information model for universities, courses, students, applications and uploaded documents.
• Built the multi-step student application journey and secure document-submission flow.
• Developed the counsellor/admin dashboard for verification and application management.
• Implemented status tracking and supporting marketing features, including newsletter capture.

Technical approach

Designed the application around a relational data model so university/course information, student records and application states remain connected. Laravel/MySQL power the dynamic workflows, while the interface keeps a complex admissions process understandable for both applicants and staff.
