Outcome

PHP and MySQL online mango shop for Puremango: seasonal varieties, crate-size ordering, delivery areas and daily dispatch lists for the harvest season.

Overview

Puremango sells fresh mangoes direct from orchard regions to customers in the city during a short harvest season. The business needed a store that could open quickly each season, list the varieties available at the time, and handle a high volume of orders in a few weeks.

Problem

Orders came in by phone and messages, with variety, quantity and delivery address noted by hand. In peak weeks this led to missed orders, mixed-up varieties and no clear view of what had to be packed and dispatched each day.

My contribution

• Owned full-stack development of the custom PHP/MySQL store.
• Built variety-based product listings with crate and weight options.
• Developed the cart, checkout and delivery-area selection with cash-on-delivery orders.
• Built the admin panel for seasonal stock, orders and daily dispatch lists.

Technical approach

Built the store around the harvest season: staff switch varieties on and off as they come into season, and each listing offers fixed crate sizes so orders map straight to packing. Delivery areas are set in the admin, and orders group into daily dispatch lists for the team.
