Doctor Connect is my cross-border telemedicine venture. Patients in the UK or US book (or instantly join) a video consult with verified doctors in South Asia — for second opinions, specialist access, or simply care that doesn't cost a private clinic fortune.
I'm shipping landing + web app in Next.js, mobile in React Native, and a NestJS backend for scheduling, payments, and encrypted history. Same real-time video muscle as Get A Lawyer, pointed at healthcare.
Private GP and specialist waits in the UK/US are long and expensive. Meanwhile, highly qualified doctors in South Asia have spare capacity and far lower consultation fees — but no compliant, trusted bridge to those patients.
Family WhatsApp 'ask this uncle who is a doctor' is how many diaspora households already seek care. That shouldn't be the product ceiling.
Doctor Connect builds the real product: credentials, timezone-aware booking, secure video, multi-currency pay, and a medical history vault patients control.
